Muslim Legal Wedding Arrangement

Following information will be required on Muslim Legal Wedding Arrangement in order to process your Buku Nikah in Bali.

Foreigner (not Indonesian citizen) :

  • Copy of passport for foreigner
  • Copy of birth certificate (must be translated into Bahasa Indonesia by sworn translator)
  • Copy of passport of two witnesses which is should be Muslim too
  • Copy death certificate of former spouse (when relevant, must be translated into Bahasa Indonesia by sworn translator)
  • Wali nikah from Bride’s family to lead ceremony
  • Four (4) photographs size 2cm x 3cm and 4cm x 3cm also one (1) photograph 4cm x 6cm of both party, head and shoulder only, wearing a polite shirt, and must be in blue background
  • Letter of No Impediment to marriage from your consulate/embassy in Indonesia
  • Mualaf Letter for other religion that want to be married in Muslim faith

Indonesian Citizen (KTP holder) :

  • Copy of KTP for Indonesian
  • Copy of birth certificate
  • Copy of previous book of marriage if you have been marriage before
  • Copy of passport/KTP of two witnesses which is should be Muslim too
  • Copy death certificate of former spouse
  • Wali nikah from Bride’s family to lead ceremony
  • Four (4) photographs size 2cm x 3cm and 4cm x 3cm also one (1) photograph 4cm x 6cm of both party, head and shoulder only, wearing a polite shirt, and must be in blue background
  • Delegation letter (surat rekomendasi nikah) from your KUA to KUA in Bali (for non KTP Bali holder)
  • Mualaf Letter for other religion that want to be married in Muslim faith

Do I need to translate my documents into Bahasa Indonesia to get legally married in Bali ? Is it enough in English only?

Due to Bali Civil Registrar new regulations for getting legally married in Bali, all of the paperwork must be translated into Bahasa Indonesia by sworn translator. If this translator not available in your country, it could be done in Bali. We will help you to arrange it here.

I am Christian but do not have a copy of my Baptism Certificate. Can I still get married in Bali?

Yes with the following conditions. If you are Protestant you will need to sign a statement that you agree to be married as Protestant.

However Catholics wishing to be married in Catholic Ceremony will need to show a Certificate of Baptism. If you can not do this and still wish to be married in a Christian ceremony you would need to sign a statement that you agree to be married as a Protestant.

Where can the wedding ceremony take place?Where can the wedding ceremony take place?

You may have your wedding ceremony in one of Bali's churches or you may choose to be married at a hotel, villa or on the beach or other choices venue. For your convenience Bali Wedding Honeymoon has put together some special wedding packages at a few of Bali's best wedding venues. How long does the wedding ceremony last?

A legal wedding, including civil registrar and religious ceremony lasts about 30 minutes. A non-legal, religious only wedding ceremony takes about 20 minutes.

What are your coordination fees?

All ofa Bali Wedding Honeymoon packages are "All-inclusive" and the prices are clearly stated. If you decide to hold the ceremony outside the hotel prices will vary according to the location. However that said, for other available services or special request please email us and we will gladly assist you.

When are deposits due and are there any cancellation fees?

Once we have a general idea of the "total cost" of your wedding, a non-refundable deposit equaling 50% of the total cost is required. The remaining balance will be due on the date certifies on the invoice. Should you cancel in less than 30 days prior to your wedding date for whatever reason, 75% cancellation fee from the total amount will be applied.

What do you do with all the information that is requested?

Absolutely nothing. We only request that information that will be required to plan and process your wedding. We DO NOT sell, rent or otherwise provide or distribute your information to any 3rd party and have no intention to ever doing so. We respect your privacy as much as we value our own.
